Ok, but why didn't Disney get Dwayne to do this in Sa and or Hawaiian…
I need it now thanks.
Maybe Jason?
Kei te aroha tonu ahau ki tenei waiata
Only Jemaine Clement returned to dub his own song. But that's fine! I love the fact that native singers came to dub these other songs!
this is by far my favourite version. it just sounds right.
I’m so happy there’s finally something about
Us New Zealanders! I’m not an actual moari,
I just lived in Nz since I was born so ya.
I’m kiwi
In fact this comment is abit late to say ‘cause this movie
Was released in 2018
Disney version:
Maui: AND THANK YOU!
Moana: Hey!
New Zealand Version:
Maui: KIA ORA!
Moana: OI C*NT
He's a really talented Maui. The Te Reo Maori version is sweet, but when are they gonna make a Samoan dubbed Moana so The Rock can rock out in his native Samoan? Jemaine Clement and Rachel House got their songs in Te Reo Maori, Auli'i Cravalho and Nicole Scherzinger got their songs in 'Olelo Hawaiian, so it's pretty much just Dwayne Johnson left.
Damn I love this language but the only thing I still remember from school are the colours 😂
i really find similarities between this an japanese. the way some words are prononced, also the ways they pronunce r
This is a language I've got to learn, it's so damn beautiful =o
We need more Hawaiian language stuff! And Maori stuff! If the Celtic Languages can make a weird but welcome comeback, so can they!
Tumeke!
this language sounds like a mix between japanese and some african language xD
So just Your Welcome but in it’s native language.
Fun fact, this is actually just Maui being stubborn.
Mihi Mai Ra means "Congratulate me" :/
It should have been sung like this in the movie
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL
He sounds A LOT like The Rock.
Sounds great in Polynesian.
tuition 50th anniversary
How do you watch the whole movie in the Maori? Is it on the special features of the dvd?
This and and the Chinese version of 'Make A Man out of You' (sung by Jackie Chan btw) are arguably better than the english versions of the songs
im not the only one who likes this one better?
this language is great
i would love to see The Rocks face while he sings it in this language xD
He sounds a lot like Johnson. So interesting.
zelo sings it better Kappa in chat bois
i thought it comes from samoan islands, doesn't it ?
The language is māori and its based in new zealand.
I know that both Maori and Hawaian are essentially Polynesian languages, but I do wonder if they have a version of this song in Hawaian, and whether it differs much from the Maori version
which language is this?
Mihi mai ra, Kia ora
My favorite version of the song
